Springtime at Kew

One of the upsides to living somewhere with a proper winter is the chance to see a proper spring. After the long, cold winter and its bare greys and browns, it is lovely to see the first bright green shoots of spring appearing along with the first brightly coloured flowers. There’s something properly cheering about the change of season and prospect of warmer, brighter weather (not mentioning that our Olympic summer is also one of the rainiest on record).
