Blue skies in Broadstairs

I visited Broadstairs in late May and looking back this may be one of the very few really sunny, cloudless days we’ve had since Easter. The weather was perfect for a trip to the South Coast and a lazy wander by the seaside. Broadstairs is a nice seaside town with historical links to Charles Dickens who often holidayed here. The original Bleak House sits atop a hill overlooking the town and beach, while the now named Dickens House was the inspiration for Betsey Trotwood’s home.

Excellent gelato can be had at Morelli’s with its pink 50’s style interior.
