The Tanks

Newly opened this summer, The Tanks are the latest addition to the Tate Modern’s exhibition areas. Formerly the oil tanks of the power station, they have been turned into fantastic spaces for audio, film, installation and live art. Although you aren’t meant to take pictures of the actual art installations, I have some pics of the central tanks area and the turbine hall lit (or not so much) for the performances happening that day.

I really enjoyed all the installations I watched and listened to in the Tanks that day and look forward to revisiting it later this year.
